Bus transport from 1967

The LLB is no longer limited to simply providing public transport, but also offers a range of additional services, for example, school buses and day trips or holiday travel.

The LLB makes sure that you can get from the valley up to Leukerbad or Albinen with no difficulties or stress. From there you can continue your journey using the cable car facilities to reach Torrent, for skiing in winter or hiking in summer.

As of 1 January 2009 the company had 32 staff on the payroll, 22 of which were bus drivers. The annual report for 2007 revealed that LLB can look forward to a successful future and is an important asset in the process of attracting visitors to the tourist destination of Leukerbad. Consequently, LLB can be regarded as having a secure future – unless extraordinary circumstances prevail.

The opening of the NEAT base tunnel in December 2007 caused passenger numbers to increase by over 10% in 2008.

All efforts and business processes are centred on services, the environment and the staff. The Swiss Association for Quality and Management systems (SQS) confirmed this in January 2006 when it issued a triple certification. The maintenance certifications in 2007 and 2008 attest to the high quality of our services.

By gaining ISO 9001:2000, ISO 14001:2004 and OHSAS 18001:1999 certification LLB has joined the select club of organisations that have attained these high standards.

Furthermore, the quality hallmarks VALAIS-EXCELLENCE and LABEL Q3 were conferred on LLB in 2006.
